How to transfer assets from BTTC to TRON? – BTTC

Please make sure you have installed MetaMask and are connected to the BTTC network before transferring assets from BTTC to TRON via BitTorrent Bridge. You can refer to Connect Your Wallet for more guides.

Please follow the steps below while your wallet is connected:

Step 1: Fill in the basic info

Choose "BTTC Network" under "From" on the left and "TRON Network" under "To" on the right.

Choose the token you want to transfer to TRON and enter the amount. Then, you will see the amount of the token you will receive on TRON.

Select a mode for this transfer. BitTorrent Bridge offers you three modes to transfer assets cross-chain: Manual Receive, Auto Receive, and Auto Receive + Gas Top-up. The three modes differ in the amount of assets you will receive, required steps, and gas fee. You may choose the one that best suits your needs. The Auto Receive mode supports most tokens on BTTC.

Here are the main differences of the three modes:

For Manual Receive, your cross-chain asset will arrive in full on TRON, but please make sure that you have sufficient TRX or resources (Energy & Bandwidth) to pay the fee and receive the transfer manually on TRON.
For Auto Receive, the decentralized Relayer service will help you receive the asset and pay the gas fee (in TRX) needed for receiving the asset on TRON. A small amount of your cross-chain asset will be deducted to pay for the service.
For Auto Receive + Gas Top-up, the decentralized Relayer service will help you receive the asset and pay the gas fee (in TRX) needed for receiving the asset on TRON. In addition, a small amount of TRX will be sent to your receiving address, which can be used to cover the costs of transferring asset out or participating in on-chain projects on TRON. A small amount of your cross-chain asset will be deducted to pay for the service.

Now, enter the receiving address or use the connected address.

The address of your connected TronLink wallet is the default receiving address.

You may also switch on "Use another address" to enter or paste the receiving address. Please make sure you are entering the correct address as you are unable to edit or cancel the transaction once it is requested.

Step 2: Initiate the transfer

The required steps vary based on the mode selected above.

Manual Receive

Select "Manual Receive", click "Bridge", and check the estimated time and gas fee required for the assets to arrive in "Transaction Preview". Then, click "Continue" to view the transaction details.

Click "Confirm" after you have confirmed the transaction details, and sign in your MetaMask wallet under the BTTC Network to complete the transaction.

The cross-chain transaction will be initiated after you sign in MetaMask. Then, you will see the estimated time for the asset to arrive. You will have to wait for validators to sync checkpoints that contain this transaction to TRON. It takes about 30 minutes for each checkpoint to arrive, but it may take longer in case of network congestion.

You may close the window and wait for the checkpoints to arrive. Then, you can track the status of this transaction in "Bridge Records", which can be found in the top right corner of the page.

After the checkpoints arrive, you can find the transaction in "Notifications", which can be found in the top right corner of the page. Then, click "Receive" to receive your asset.

Once you sign the transaction in your TronLink wallet, the cross-chain transaction is complete. The asset will arrive at your receiving address on TRON, and the balance of the address will be updated.

Auto Receive

The Auto Receive mode is available when the token to be transferred and the transfer amount meet the requirement.

For Auto Receive, the Relayer service helps you receive asset on TRON. All you need to do is pay a specific amount of your transferring asset to compensate the Relayer for the TRX or resources spent. You may click on the drop-down list to view the charges of different Relayers and choose the one as you see fit.

After selecting a Relayer, click "Bridge" and check the estimated time and gas fee required in the "Transaction Preview". Then, click "Continue" to view the transaction details.

Click "Confirm" after you have confirmed the transaction details, and sign in your MetaMask wallet under the BTTC network to initiate the transaction.

The cross-chain transaction will be initiated after you sign in MetaMask. Then, you will see the estimated time for the asset to arrive. You will have to wait for validators to sync checkpoints that contain this transaction to the TRON network. It takes about 30 minutes for each checkpoint to arrive, but it may take longer in case of network congestion.

You may close the window and wait for the checkpoints to arrive. No further action is required.

The decentralized Relayer service will facilitate the transfer of your asset to the receiving address on TRON without having access to the asset, thus ensuring security.

Auto Receive + Gas Top-up

You will be able to select this mode and receive a small amount of TRX when the token to be transferred and the transfer amount meet the requirements.

Like Auto Receive, the Relayer service helps receive your asset on TRON in this mode. In addition, a small amount of TRX will be sent to your receiving address, which can be used to cover the costs of transferring asset out or participating in on-chain projects on TRON. A small amount of your cross-chain asset will be deducted to pay for the service.

You may click on the drop-down list to view the charges of different Relayers and choose the one you see fit.
