BTTC Bridge offers you three modes to transfer assets cross-chain: Manual Receive, Auto Receive, and Auto Receive + Gas Top-up. Each mode differs from the other two in required steps and the gas fee.
1. Manual Receive
After you initiate a cross-chain transaction, you need to wait for the asset to arrive on the target chain and then manually initiate a transaction to receive your asset.
To ensure a successful transaction, please reserve enough tokens to pay the gas fee* on the target chain.
2. Auto Receive
After you initiate a cross-chain transaction, the asset will automatically arrive on the target chain with the help of a Relayer.
The Relayer receives your asset and pays the gas fee for you but charges a service fee. An amount will be deducted from your asset in the transfer, which is determined by the gas price on the target chain when you initiate the transaction.
3. Auto Receive + Gas Top-up
Adding on to the Auto Receive mode, you will receive a certain amount of gas tokens* in your receiving address under this mode.
The gas tokens are converted from part of your cross-chain asset and will be sent to your receiving address in a separate transaction.
* Gas fee is typically paid in a blockchain's native token, such as TRX on TRON, ETH on Ethereum, BNB on BSC, and BTT on BTTC. The TRON network also supports gas payment in "Energy and Bandwidth".
Which mode should I choose?
1. Auto Receive is usually recommended as it is more straightforward, with fewer steps, and spares users the risk of volatile token prices when paying the gas fee.
2. You are recommended to opt for Auto Receive + Gas Top-up if you want to obtain tokens used to pay gas fee on the target chain in later transactions. This way, you can both transfer your asset and top up your gas fee in a single transaction.
3. You can choose Manual Receive if you have enough tokens to pay the gas fee in your receiving address and are willing to manually receive the cross-chain asset.
When using the cross-chain mode, please note:
1. You only need to choose a mode for "Cross-Chain" and "Transfer-Out" transactions. You don't need to choose one for "Transfer-In" transactions because the process is relatively short and straightforward. It is also worth noting that "Cross-Chain" and "Transfer-Out" transactions follow different steps. Please take a look at the relevant links below for more details.
2. Due to the volatile prices of gas tokens, the fee charged by the Relayer and gas top-up fluctuates accordingly. Therefore, you need to confirm the updated fee and the amount you will receive in the "Confirm Transaction" window. Any additional costs generated by the fluctuating gas token price after the transaction has been initiated will be borne by the Relayer.
3. Auto Receive and Auto Receive + Gas Top-up only support a limited number of tokens. Please refer to the information displayed when you initiate transactions.
